Leisure
Leisure buildings put unusual demands on a roof. Pools and wet areas generate high internal humidity, which makes vapour control the critical detail rather than the membrane. We design and install build-ups that keep moisture out of the insulation in exactly the buildings most likely to trap it.
Leisure roofing
A swimming pool hall is one of the most demanding roof environments in commercial construction. Warm, saturated air sits permanently against the underside of the roof, and any weakness in the vapour control layer means moisture migrating into the insulation and condensing there.
We specify these roofs around the vapour control layer first, fully sealed and dressed into every perimeter and penetration, then build the rest of the system on top of it. Getting that layer right is the difference between a roof that lasts thirty years and one that fails quietly from the inside in eight.
What we plan for
- 01High-humidity buildings and interstitial condensation risk
- 02Fully sealed vapour control as the governing detail
- 03Works around continuous public opening hours
- 04Large clear-span roofs with limited internal access
