Healthcare
Healthcare roofing is carried out over wards, theatres and clinical space that cannot close. We work to hospital permit systems, infection control requirements and agreed noise and vibration limits, using cold-applied systems that eliminate hot works and odour from a live clinical environment.
Healthcare roofing
A hospital roof project is governed by the estates permit system, not by our programme. Hot works permits, isolation of air handling, infection control measures and out-of-hours restrictions all sit above the roofing sequence, and pricing a healthcare job without allowing for them is how contractors end up in dispute.
We specify cold-applied liquid systems on almost all healthcare work. No flame, negligible odour and no hot work permit removes the largest single objection an estates team has to roofing over clinical space, and it usually removes the need to decant a ward.
What we plan for
- 01Works to hospital permit and isolation procedures
- 02Infection control and dust containment measures
- 03No hot works, minimal odour, controlled noise
- 04Out-of-hours working around clinical schedules
